Privacy policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and what your rights are. "We", "us" and "our" means T.S. Trade Services Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12800654), registered office 63b King Street, Leicester, LE1 6RP. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
Contact us about anything in this policy at tradeservicecoltd@gmail.com, by phone on 07541 239 223, or by post at the address above.
What we collect
- When you use our contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if given), the service you are interested in and your message.
- When you call, email or message us: the contact details and information you choose to give us.
- When we carry out work for you: details needed to do the job, quote and invoice — for example your address, the device and the fault, and payment records.
- Technical data: when you visit the site, our hosting provider and the font provider automatically receive your IP address and browser information, as every website does, to deliver the page.
We do not ask for sensitive information. Please do not include passwords or payment card details in the contact form.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- To carry out the work you ask for — performance of our contract with you.
- To keep accounts and tax records — compliance with our legal obligations.
- To keep the website working and secure — our legitimate interest in running a safe website.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decision-making. We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
Devices you bring to us for repair
When you hand us a phone, computer or tablet, we may see data stored on it while testing or repairing it. We only access what is needed to do the job and we do not copy or keep your files unless you ask us to (for example, a data transfer). We recommend backing up your device before any repair.
Who we share it with
- Netlify, Inc. — hosts this website and processes contact form submissions on our behalf.
- Google — provides our email service (Gmail) and the fonts used on this site (Google Fonts).
- Our accountant and HMRC — where needed for accounts and tax.
- Others — only if required by law, or with your agreement (for example, a manufacturer for a warranty repair).
Netlify and Google may process data in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, it is protected by the UK–US data bridge or by the standard contractual clauses approved for UK transfers.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Customer and invoice records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. If we add analytics or other cookies in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month. There is no charge in most cases.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
